TP-Link® Unveils a Brand-New Omada — The Smarter Cloud Solution for Business Networking

TP-Link®, a leading global provider of consumer and business networking products, today introduced a new upgrade for Omada—the smarter cloud solution for business networking. Based on the success of the current Omada business Wi-Fi brand, TP-Link is integrating gateways, switches, and more Wi-Fi 6 access points into its Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions. 100% centralized cloud management has been added, ensuring control of TP-Link products from a single interface—anywhere, anytime. TP-Link provides fast, reliable wireless connections with Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6, as well as 10 GE, 2.5 GE, and GE wired connections to fit various scenarios.

“We are extremely proud to roll out TP-Link Omada, an end-to-end cloud solution dedicated to business networking.” said Pingji Li, GM of the Network Business Department at TP-Link. “TP-Link Omada aims to simplify network management, and help build a business network with higher efficiency, higher reliability, and higher security.”

    Software Defined Networking (SDN)

Traditional enterprise networks with complicated network topologies require devices to be repeatedly configured one at a time. It is difficult for administrators to quickly understand the overall status of the network. SDN overcomes these obstacles. It achieves automatic batch management for networking functions via a centralized controller. Moreover, an agile network topology and easy device configuration enable quick and flexible network expansion, leading to faster deployment and lower maintenance fees for the whole network.

Higher Efficiency, Higher Reliability, and Higher Security

TP-Link Omada delivers surprises beyond what would normally be associated with an SDN network. It is an SDN network with a controller as the core for automatic deployment of network services and automatic data distribution. The Omada SDN solution boasts multiple advanced features with higher efficiency, higher reliability, and higher security. Cloud access makes the centralized management of different sites easier. Zero-touch deployment allows admins to remotely deploy and configure multi-site networks, so there’s no need to send out an engineer for on-site configuration. The easy-to-use dashboard makes it easy to see the real-time network status, check the network usage and traffic distribution, or even track key data for better business results. With AI-driven technology, TP-Link Omada helps IT staff analyze potential network problems and receive optimization suggestions to improve network efficiency.*

In addition, TP-Link Omada satisfies diverse needs in various environments with Omada Mesh, seamless roaming, guest networks, WPA3, and other advanced features. Auto channel selection and power adjustment provide powerful wireless performance while greatly reducing Wi-Fi interference. Wi-Fi 6 access points with advanced functions, like MU-MIMO, OFDMA, and BSS Color, ensure high concurrency capacity for high-density environments. All of this means that wireless and wired networks will no longer be a hassle in hospitals, schools, stores, offices, and more.
