    TP-Link in 2016: World’s No.2 in the Ethernet Switch Market

    SHENZHEN, China — Oct. 30, 2017 TP-Link®, a leading global provider of consumer and business networking products, was ranked No.2 (by number of Ethernet ports shipped)in the global Ethernet switch market over the course of 2016, according to the Worldwide Quarterly Ethernet Switch Tracker 2016 report produced by analyst firm IDC.

    The report reveals that, over the course of 2016, TP-Link sold 68.1million Ethernet switch ports, and held an 11.50% market share. A glance at past IDC data shows that ports of TP-Link Ethernet switches have remained above 66 million ports since 2013, when TP-Link ranked as the world No.3. In the two years that followed, 2014 and 2015, TP-Link did better still, particularly in 2014 when over 75 million ports were shipped.
